I absolutely LOVE Tricolore. I make the walk because the food is soooo good!I Usually get a half of a sandwich (the Tacchino), and ask for it hot. They put it in the oven so that the cheese melts into perfect yumminess. The staff is so friendly and always smiling. They will not only remember the faces of their regulars, but also their names. I am greeted personally each time I go in and even engage in some quick chit chat. This place is not your average get in, get your food, and get out sort of joint. It's an absolute gem. lea m.

Our History
​
The name Tricolore refers to the three colors in the Italian flag –green, white, and red. We stand for delicious, authentic, and fresh Italian food that is delivered at a reasonable price and with a friendly smile.
Michael Imperiale immigrated to California at the age of 16 with his family from southern Italy. Just two days after he arrived in San Francisco he started working in Italian restaurants and learned all aspects of the trade. Finally in 1995, together with his Swiss wife, he realized the dream of opening his own place.
Each morning, our team arrives at Tricolore before dawn to accept the daily delivery of fresh ingredients. Every day, we prepare our own pizza dough, bake the focaccia bread, chop vegetables, grill chicken, prepare soups from scratch, and mix our signature homemade sauces and salad dressings.
When you arrive at our restaurant, our friendly staff is ready to quickly prepare your favorite pizza and pasta dishes. We always aim to provide fast service, so that you have plenty of time to savor our fresh Italian dishes or enjoy a cup of authentic cappuccino while relaxing at our caffè.

Tricolore offers breakfast and lunch catering for all your office meetings and social gatherings. The entire menu is available for catering. We can deliver your food either in labeled bags or on nicely arranged platters.
